I brought my 2017 Volt in with a check engine light on. The car ran fine on electric but had lack of power on gas. They updated the software, cleared the code and released the vehicle with a full charge. I asked them to drive and check the gas engine since that what seems to be the problem, not sure if that was completed. With the full battery charge from the dealership, i am waiting to see if the gas engine still has the same issue. They stated if the check engine light comes on again that i will need a new battery pack - seems extreme and the problem seems to be on the gas engine side. Confusing.
